How do I choose a pressure range?

Choose a gauge whose full scale is about twice your normal operating pressure, so the pointer sits in the middle third of the dial.

Which fill should I choose?

A glycerin filled gauge damps pointer movement from vibration and pulsation. A dry gauge suits steady pressure and low temperatures.
